What We Believe

We Firmly Believe:

At Marked Church, our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ. These foundational truths guide our faith, our teaching, and the way we live as believers. We hold firmly to the Word of God as our final authority and believe it reveals who God is and who we are called to be in Him.

HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR BELIEFS?

We believe faith grows through understanding and relationship. If you have questions about what we believe, Scripture, or how these truths are lived out at Marked Church, we would love to connect with you.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He was crucified, died, and was buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead, and later ascended into heaven, where He remains at the right hand of God. We believe in; His deity, His virgin birth, His perfect and sinless life, His supernatural work, His substitutionary death, His shed blood which atones for the sin of the world, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven, and in His personal return in power to rapture a mature Church.
(Is 53:5, Phil 2:9-11, Acts 10:36, Luke 1:32-35, John 1:34, Matt 1:18-23, Heb 9:28, Eph 1:7, Eph 2:12,13, Rom 5:9)

We believe Jesus Christ is central to everything we do. His finished work on the Cross provides salvation, redemption, healing, and eternal life for all who believe.

We believe in one God — Creator of all things, eternally existent and manifested in the triune Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; three persons co-equal in power and purpose.
(I John 5:7, I Cor. 8:6, Matt 28:19)

God is one, yet revealed in three distinct persons, working together in perfect unity to accomplish His will and purposes.

We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of the Savior.
(Rom. 3:23, 3:10-12)

We believe in the free gift of salvation through the Holy Spirit and that God wills for no one to be lost, but that all should come to repentance for life everlasting.
(Eph 2:8,9, II Peter 3:9, John 3:16)

Salvation is a gift of grace, received by faith, made possible through Jesus Christ alone.

We believe in the rapture of the universal church and that when the rapture occurs, the dead in Christ will rise first, and then those who are alive and remain (those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior) will be caught up to meet Him in the air.
(1 Thes 4:16, 17)

We live with the expectation of Christ’s return and encourage believers to walk faithfully and prepared.

We believe that after death, eternal life continues either in heaven or hell, based on your decision to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.
(2 Thes 1:8-10, Matt 13:49)

Every person has an eternal destiny, and salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life with God.

We believe the Bible was written and inspired by God. It is the infallible rule of faith and conduct. The Bible can be read and understood by all believers, and it is our final authority in faith and conduct.
(II Tim 3:16, II Pet 1:20)

God’s Word is living, powerful, and foundational to everything we believe and teach.

We believe in water baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus’ name as symbolic for identification with Him and the new birth.
(Rom 6:4, Col 2:12)

Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation through Christ.

We believe in the indwelling and baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
(Acts 2:4, Mark 16:17, Acts 19:6)

The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live boldly, serve effectively, and walk in the gifts God has provided.

We believe in divine healing through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and we believe that healing is included in Redemption. We believe healing is provided in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ and is available to every believer. We further believe that Jesus is our Healer, and that by His stripes, we are already healed.
(Is 53:5, I Peter 2:24, 3 John 2)

Healing is part of the finished work of Christ and is available to believers today.

We believe in the Biblical equality and value of all human beings. Men, women, and children of all races were created in the image of God and are called to His service.
(Gen.1:27; John 1:12; Gal.3:28)

Every person is created with dignity, purpose, and worth in the eyes of God.

We believe in giving tithes and offerings freely given to your local church, and in giving alms to the poor and others in despair.
(Mal 3:10, Luke 6:38, Heb 13:6, Eph 4:27)

Giving is an act of worship and obedience, supporting the work of the church and caring for those in need.

We believe that the local church is the place for assembly where God has called us to commit, to receive His Word on a consistent basis and to grow spiritually.
(Heb 10:24,25, Psalm 122:1, Acts 2:42)

The local church is God’s design for community, discipleship, and spiritual growth.
